Directions:
Cream the shortening and brown sugar. Add the egg flour and vanilla. Pat evenly into cookie sheet (moisten fingertips to prevent sticking). Bake 12-15 minutes at 350F. Immediately upon removing from the oven, spread with the jam. Sprinkle with the nuts and coconut then dust with 1 tablespoon confectioner's sugar. Cut into 1"ex2 1/2"e strips.
