Directions:
Filling:
3/4 c. sugar
1c. Raisins
1 c. water
3 tablespoon flour
(Mix with a little water to make paste)
Roll thin. Cut into rounds of two sizes (one a little larger than the other). Small round is the bottom. Place small amount of filing on smaller round. Top with larger round. Crimp closed, vent with fork. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
Filling:
Heat sugar, raisins, and water. Add flour paste and cook clear. Cool slightly. (I have also experimented with apricots, dates and jarred mincemeat. The cookies are crisp and wonderful with any filling.)
